Hernia Essentials Didactics

APHS2026 will host the Hernia Essentials Didactics.  This is the first time that it will be held in Japan.

Schedule:  5 November 2026, 9:00-17:00 (planned)

Tuition fee:  10,000 yen
(Applications can be accepted along with the registration for the APHS2026.)

The Hernia Essentials (HE) Didactic course is based on current international guidelines (EHS, APHS, SAGES, IEHS and HerniaSurge guidelines) on hernia management.  The aim is to present a comprehensive training course for practicing surgeons on hernia management (both laparoscopic and open).  A standard and uniform course content has been created that is delivered by APHS faculty at various locations within the Asia Pacific Region.

※Japanese Hernia Society has certified the Hernia Essentials as equivalent to completing two courses:  I-2 inguinal incision and I-3 laparoscopic surgery(only applicable for 2026)
